Al-'Imran (The Family of Imran)
Surah 3 · Verse 103
And hold together (and be united) through the rope of Allah and do not be divided. And remember the favour of Allah on you, when you were enemies then He united your hearts, so by His favour you became brothers, and you were on the edge of a pit of fire then He saved you from it, thus does Allah make clear to you His signs that you may receive guidance.
“Obeying the orders given in the Quran in accordance with the instructions of prophet Muhammed (PBH) appears to be the rope of Allah (SWT) therefore the whole community as a single body should hold fast to it. Before Muhammed (PBH) was raised as a prophet, Arabs were divided, it was through Quran and Sunnah that they were united like brothers and were saved from hell This was a favour from Allah (SWT) and today too Quran and Sunnah are the only sources for Muslim unity all over the world. Abu Hurairah (R.A) reports that the messenger of Allah (SWT) had said, “I am indeed leaving among you two things, you will never go astray after following them: The book of Allah (SWT) and my sunnah (procedure of following it).
