Al-'Imran (The Family of Imran)
Surah 3 · Verse 176
And do not let those grieve you, who hastily fall into infidelity, they can never harm Allah in the least. Allah does not intend to give them any portion in the hereafter and for them there is a great punishment.
“Prophet Muhammed (PBH) is being consoled not to grieve over persons who did not accept Islam. This shows the degree of sympathy he had for humanity in general. The infidels do not and cannot harm Allah (SWT) by their infidelity, in fact they are harming themselves because they will be punished for it. Allah (SWT) grants them time so that they should increase in sins and the consequent punishment. ”
