Al-'Imran (The Family of Imran)
Surah 3 · Verse 183
(To) those who said, “Allah has made An agreement with us that we should certainly not believe in any messenger until he brings to us an offering which is consumed by the fire,” say, “Messengers had come to you before me with clear proofs and with that which you ask for, then why did you kill them, if you were truthful?”
“The miracle of the splitting of the moon was already performed through Prophet Muhammed (PBH). The demand was to perform the specific miracle of ‘An offering being consumed by fire? Earlier Prophets had performed miracles including the one they were demanding then why did they deny and kill them? Prophet Muhammed (PBH) was denied as the earlier Prophets were denied.”
