Surah 47 · Verse 19
Then know that there is no god except Allah and seek protection for your sin and for the believing men and the believing women. And Allah knows your places of movement and your places of rest (homes). (R 2)
Prophet Muhammed (PBH) is asked to seek Allah’s (SWT) Protection from future sin for himself and the believers. The word ‘Ghafara’ conveys the sense of forgiveness of past sins as well as protection from future sins.
