Al-Hashr (The Gathering for Exile)

Surah 59 · Verse 5

Whatever date palms you cut down or left them standing on their roots, it was by Allah’s permission, so that (through it) He might disgrace the transgressors.

مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَىٰ أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيُخْزِيَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
